The project

Designed around the people who use it.

Explore the project (opens in a new tab)

A mobile app and web platform for Gawang Diwa’s creative community, connecting workshops, event participation and conversations between members and hosts.

The brief

A workshop experience starts before the event and continues afterwards. Members and hosts need a shared place for details, participation and communication.

Design decisions

Connect the event to the community around it.

The mobile app and web platform bring workshop discovery, registration and member communication into a consistent experience. Host tools support the practical work behind events while member-facing screens keep participation approachable.

  • Workshop discovery and registration journeys.
  • Community and event conversations.
  • Host tools for managing participation.

Across devices

The community travels with its members.

The mobile experience supports returning to event details and conversations, while the web platform provides another way to take part.

The thinking behind the work

Make the first workshop the start of a relationship.

Gawang Diwa’s mobile app and web platform connect the public invitation with the practical work of taking part. The business opportunity is not only an event registration: it is a useful experience that gives members a reason to return for another workshop and remain part of the community.

Participation

Help curiosity become a workshop choice.

Workshop discovery and registration belong to the same experience. A visitor can explore the creative activity, consider the event details and move towards participation without having to reinterpret the offer in a different context. The visual identity gives that journey the character of a creative community rather than a generic event directory.

This structure is intended to support registrations by making the decision more understandable. Someone who is curious about a medium has a route into a specific session; someone already familiar with the community can return to the practical details. Both journeys matter to the commercial life of a workshop programme.

Continuity

Keep the event connected to its people.

Community and event conversations give members and hosts a place to communicate around participation. The experience therefore extends beyond an attractive event page: people have a way to return to the context of an activity and the people involved in it.

For the business, that continuity creates an opportunity for repeat participation. The design supports a relationship that can outlast one session, rather than treating every workshop as an isolated purchase decision. The same principle helps establish trust: the community is presented through participation and communication, not only through an opening promise.

Operational clarity

Support the work behind each session.

Host tools give the organising side of a workshop its own place in the platform. Participation management belongs alongside the member experience, helping connect the public invitation with the practical work of running an event.

The mobile app and web platform also support different moments in that relationship. Members can return to details or conversations on a phone, while the web provides another way to take part. The intended benefit is continuity across those moments, with less effort spent finding the relevant information again.

The experience in practice

From discovery to the next creative session

  1. Explore an activity

Find a workshop or medium that feels relevant, then read the details of a particular session.

  2. Choose to participate

Move from the workshop information into registration with a clearer understanding of the activity.

  3. Stay connected

Return to event information and conversations, with the community providing a reason to keep participating.
