After — Built by Vendrato

Overview

Tomas O'Malley is a registered architect (QLD 4395) offering architectural and interior design services across the Bundaberg, Burnett, Gladstone and Fraser Coast regions. With 10+ years at major national firms including DEM, Suters and Allen Jack+Cottier, the practice handles residential, commercial and educational projects.

The Challenge

The existing WordPress site used a minimal theme with very thin content — only ~8 projects listed with brief descriptions and limited imagery. The site did not effectively showcase the breadth of experience or the range of services offered.

Our Approach

Built a navy/teal branded site with Playfair Display typography for an authoritative yet approachable feel. Showcased all project types with large imagery, structured services into 6 clear categories, and added a statistics bar highlighting experience credentials.

Key Features

Navy/teal professional brand palette
Project portfolio with type badges
6 service categories with icons
Experience statistics section
4-step design process visualization
Responsive contact form

Why This Design Drives Revenue

Professional portfolio differentiates from basic WordPress presence in regional market
Service categories (residential, commercial, education) capture diverse project enquiries
Regional SEO targeting Bundaberg, Gladstone, Fraser Coast expands catchment area
Statistics section (10+ years, 4 regions) builds credibility quickly
Contact form with phone number reduces friction for project discussions

The Result

A fast, modern, SEO-optimized website built with Astro — designed to convert visitors into clients and establish a commanding digital presence.
